I had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel, which is perfectly situated right by the canal and just a short walk to the town center. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making my experience enjoyable from start to finish. I especially loved the varied breakfast options, including a delicious Yorkshire breakfast that set me up for the day. the dinner menu could benefit from more variety to enhance the dining experience.

herriots is in an excellent location, right next to the canal and just a short walk to town. my single room was surprisingly spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the water. the staff were super friendly and made me feel really valued as a solo traveler. breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were both excellent.
